Portfolio Highlights: Utility Districts

Las Lomas Municipal Utility District
Kaufman County, Texas

In 2004, Anthony Properties purchased over 5,500 acres situated between the cities of Forney and Terrell in Kaufman County, one of the fastest growing new home markets in North Texas. This prime parcel of multi-purpose land, just thirty miles east of Dallas, is bordered by I-80 on the north and bisected by I-20, and is ideally suited for residential communities, office parks and retail shopping. Regional retail and industrial tracts border the property to the north and east.

Subsequent to the purchase, Anthony Properties created Las Lomas Municipal Utility Districts 1, 2, 3, and 4 through application to the TCEQ and the Texas State legislature. This mixed-use development is one of the largest districts of its kind in the state and has a 15-20 year development horizon.

King’s Crossing Municipal Utility District
Howe, Texas

In Howe, Texas, located on the explosive growth corridor north of Dallas, Anthony Properties is working with city leaders to create King’s Crossing, a municipal utility district encompassing 600 prime acres with extensive frontage on I-75. The project is designed to provide a scenic new gateway to the City of Howe and will feature residential communities with extensive recreational amenities, retail centers, corporate campuses and light industrial parks.
