In 2004, Anthony Properties purchased over 5,500 acres situated between the cities of Forney and Terrell in Kaufman County, one of the fastest growing new home markets in North Texas. This prime parcel of multi-purpose land, just thirty miles east of Dallas, is bordered by I-80 on the north and bisected by I-20, and is ideally suited for residential communities, office parks and retail shopping. Subsequent to the purchase, Anthony Properties created Las Lomas Municipal Utility Districts 1, 2, 3, and 4 through application to the TCEQ and the Texas State legislature.
